Lauren Devine is a Massachusetts native, but, during her time as a professional actor, has traveled, worked, and lived in places all over the world, including New York City, Nashville, Connecticut, Toronto, and Shanghai. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University in upstate New York, where she graduated magna cum laude and with Renée Crown Honors.
Possessing a proclivity for drama and storytelling from an early age, Lauren has always enjoyed writing—winning several writing contests and awards in her youth—and continued her passion for the theatrical through college and adulthood. Lauren and her co-author, Ashley, grew up together in Massachusetts, and in the summer of 2016 began working as colleagues and to develop “Breaking the Grass Ceiling” as a platform for sharing stories and supporting women in their journey toward equality in the workplace.
For Lauren, the subject matter, Women, Weed and Business, was a thrilling combination of art, academia, and female empowerment. The stories of these women so inspired her that she recently moved to Colorado to dive headfirst into the cannabis industry. Drawn by a love and enthusiasm for cannabis and entrepreneurship, Lauren continues to work alongside Ashley, building an empire to share among family and friends. Lauren enjoys chillin’ on her balcony; cooking beautiful and delicious meals; traveling the world; and spending time “on Cape” at Miss B. Haven, her happy place in Harwichport, Cape Cod.
